But in the Tibeto-Burman family of languages in using numerals certain particles showing the class to which the things enumerated belong are almost always prefixed to them For example, “duku in chuta, “” in achari and f" in Gro a prefixed a particles to the numeral when it is intended to show the numbe of “man". In Assamese also such particles are used in such cas. But the particles in Assamese are affixed to the numdal and news prefixed.
