SCIENCE ASSOCIATION
Since its inception in 1954, the J. B. College
Science Association has been steadily marching
onwards with commendable Success To
create an atmosphere, wherein students
in general, and the science students in par-
ticular, can develop a scientific outlook and
an urge for scientific knowledge, the Asso-
ciation has arranged from time to time, lectures
and discussions on important problems of the
modern scientific age. Thus the Association
has not only been helping the students in acqui-
ring informations on modern scientific topics,
but also has given the students ample opportu-
nities to have free discussions with eminent
professors and scientific workers of different
fields. Thus a personal contact is maintained
as a result of which a student is sure to gain
and has got nothing to lose.
It is heartening to note that invariably in
all the meetings organised, Professors of local
colleges, scientific workers of different techni-
cal, industrial and Research institutions have
extended their co-operation. But the attendance
of the students is far below our expectation.
I would like to request them once more,
ponder over the situation, to shake off their
lethargy and to join the meetings in numbers,
I am grateful to my student friends who
elected me as the Secretary of the Association.
