My First Love

ROHINI BORUA, 2nd yr. I.Sc

I can't tell you— because I could'nt feel,
How and why I was so overpowered in thrill.
The lady in glaze and white came mechanically:
And stole my heart quite stealthily,
Smiled at me with a magician eye,
Amazed at the sight, when at a loss was I.

Oh, she rushed-and clapsed me well,
So many tears in her eyes did repel.
With so many kisses she closed my eyes.
I couldn't but begin to cry, to sleep to rise.

How glad I was to escape from her tight,
To play and amuse in my friends in delight.
I can tell you now--because I judge rather.
She is no other than my beloved and pretty mother.

Naked come I out of my mother's
womb, and naked shall I return thither.
